Try these Tasty Teething Rusks with your Bub!
Use organic ingredients whenever possible.
Makes 6 rusks
1 small ripe banana (or 1/2 large one) – mashed
1/2 cup of organic Baby Rice or Oat Porridge
1/2 cup of Rye or Spelt Flour (You can substitute with rice flour if gluten free)
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 Tbsp. of Organic Coconut Oil
1-2 Tbsp. chilled water
Method:
Pre-heat oven to 120 degrees Celsius.
Line a baking tray with baking paper.
In a mixing bowl add all dry ingredients and stir to combine.
Mix in mashed banana and coconut oil. Add chilled water – enough to make a dough that can be formed into shapes.
Squeeze dough in hands and form into small sausage shapes, about 6cm long and 2cm wide.
Place on lined baking tray and bake until dry and hard.
Depending on your oven, it may take about 20 minutes.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge, or freeze
